Brats simmered in beer with onions, and butter for juicy and delicious flavor. The only way to prepare brats (in our opinion)!
- 4 RAIKES BEEF BRATS
- 1-2 BOTTLES BEER (12 oz)
- 2 TBSP BUTTER
- 1 ONION, SLICED
Melt butter in a sauce pan or stock pot. Add the onions and cook for a couple of minutes until they start to sweat. This will bring out some of the flavor. Arrange brats in pan and cover with beer. Make sure the brats are fully covered, use second bottle if needed. Simmer for about 15 minutes to cook through and allow to absorb flavor.
Grill brats over high heat just enough to get some browning on the skin.
If not eating right away you can leave the beer bath on low and place the brats back into mixture to keep warm.
