Traditional meatloaf just like mom used to make. Doubles as a great meatball recipe too. Recipe from old 4H cookbook.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 LB RAIKES GROUND BEEF
- 3 SLICES SOFT BREAD
- 1 EGG
- 1/4 CUP MINCED ONION
- 1/8 TSP DRY MUSTARD
- 1/8 TSP CELERY SALT OR OTHER SEASONING SALT
- 1 TBSP MEAT SAUCE, KETCHUP (WE USED WORCESTERSHIRE)
- 1 CUP MILK
- 1 1/4 TSP SALT
- 1/8 TSP BLACK PEPPER
COOKING INSTRUCTIONS
Tear the bread slices into chunks and soak in the milk. Beat egg with fork and combine in bowl with meat. Add the rest of the ingredients, mixing until all combined. Form into a loaf in a greased baking pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1.5 hours. Pairs well with roasted veggies.
