Sous Vide Eye of Round Roast

Sous Vide Eye of Round Roast


Perfectly rare and juicy sous vide roast. Makes great steak sandwiches.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 3 LB RAIKES EYE OF ROUND ROAST (OR CHUCK, TOP ROUND, RUMP)
  • SALT AND PEPPER TO TASTE
  • SMOKING GUN BLACK POWDER SEASONING TO TASTE

COOKING INSTRUCTIONS

Lightly season roast with salt and pepper and Black Powder seasoning.

Place in ziplock bag, and seal tight, removing all the air in the bag.

Heat water in a large soup pot with sous vide to 125 degrees.

Place roast in water and cook for 24 hours. Add water if needed throughout cooking time.

Remove roast from sous vide and ziplock bag.

Heat skillet to medium high heat, spray skillet with Duck Fat spray, or other pan spray. Sear on all sides.

Place on cutting board, slice paper thin for a delicious steak sandwich. Or serve with mashed potatoes and roasted veggies.
